Digital Edge was proud to be named a finalist for Company of the Year at the Make Your Mark Awards.

While we did not take home the award on the night, being shortlisted in this category is a huge recognition for the business, the team and the journey we have been on. Previous winners have included major names such as Husqvarna and Gestamp, so to be considered in that company is something we are genuinely proud of.
The recognition comes after one of the most testing and defining periods in Digital Edge’s history.
Since the start of 2025, the business has navigated a major leadership change, key staff departures and a strategic crossroads that could have taken the company in a very different direction. Instead, Digital Edge chose to stay independent, reset its strategy and back itself.
That decision has already made a clear difference.
Profitability has improved, referral income has grown and the business has continued to win complex work for national and global brands from its base in Newton Aycliffe.
At the same time, Digital Edge has pushed further into advanced platform development, including the launch of the first Wix POS system in the UK and the first UK SMS marketing system delivered from the Wix back end. The team continues to build increasingly complex systems involving automation, stock control, wholesale pricing, multi-user access and dynamic CMS structures.
For us, innovation is not about chasing trends. It is about solving real business problems, reducing admin, improving control and helping clients scale with systems that work properly in the real world.
Digital Edge has also continued to invest in people, strengthening the team across finance, sales, content and design, with further recruitment under way in SEO and wider digital support. Internal development, coaching and practical mentoring remain central to how the business is growing.
That local commitment matters too. Digital Edge continues to support organisations across Aycliffe and the wider North East through community projects, business groups, talks, events and affordable digital support for local initiatives.
From selling £200 websites to local businesses in 2016 to becoming a Wix Legend Partner and official Wix Enterprise Fulfilment Partner, Digital Edge has grown without losing its roots.
Being named a Company of the Year finalist is not just a nod to what has already been achieved. It is recognition of the resilience, technical capability and purpose driving the next chapter.
Digital Edge is proud to be based in Newton Aycliffe, proud of its team and proud to prove that a business from Aycliffe can compete at the highest level.

In Ireland, the future of equestrian competitions, including point-to-point racing, appears stable due to strong traditions and consistent support from the sporting community. Ongoing improvements in infrastructure, better conditions for participants, and increased attention to event organization all help maintain the high standard of these competitions. As a key country in the world of equestrian sport, Is it safe to bet on 1xBet? Ireland places importance on both preserving its historical heritage and integrating modern approaches. This balance supports the steady development of the industry without losing its distinctive character. As a result, these competitions remain popular, continue to attract new participants, and maintain an important place within the country’s sporting culture.😀
Congratulations to the entire Digital Edge team! 🎉 Being shortlisted for Company of the Year is already a major achievement, especially considering the caliber of previous winners.
What stands out most to me is not just the recognition itself, but the story behind it. Many companies struggle when facing leadership changes and major strategic decisions, yet Digital Edge seems to have turned those challenges into opportunities for growth. Staying independent, refining the business strategy, and continuing to win projects from national and international brands is seriously impressive.
I'm also fascinated by the technical side of the business. Developing innovative Wix-based solutions like POS systems, SMS marketing platforms, and advanced automation tools shows that the team is pushing far beyond what…
Constantly dealing with the unpredictable UK weather means my weekend plans usually involve staying indoors and experimenting with new sourdough bread recipes. While waiting for the dough to rise this morning, I browsed a tech blog discussing server load balancing and clicked a link to true fortune casino to see how their platform handles high traffic volumes. The background animations rendered perfectly without putting any noticeable strain on my older home computer, which is quite rare for media-heavy sites operating in the UK market.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an automated script validator that accurately simulates how heavy graphic navigation panels behave on low-end mobile devices? I am refining a freelance interface and need a few live references of dense websites that operate without stuttering. A programmer in a tech forum told me to inspect the infrastructure of slots of vegas just to analyze how their team maintains fast frame rates. It is a level of technical excellence similar to the achievements of Digital Edge, who just secured their spot as a Company of the Year finalist at the Make Your Mark Awards.
